Kathmandu Valley View Homestay

Term & Conditions

Unless agreed in advance with Kathmandu Valley View Homestay the following payments terms apply :

1. All Payment for rooms must be paid the day before departure either in a major foreign currency of Nepali Rupees.
2. All-inclusive packages Package booked through Kathmandu Valley View Homestay will be subject to a 10% deposit at time of booking and full payment on day of arrival in Nepal.
3. All alcohol purchased from Kathmandu Valley View Homestay will be added to the final room invoice.
4. All Trekking organized by third party companies must be paid for at the time of booking.
5. All TIMS and trekking permits organized for the guest by Kathmandu Valley View Homestay must be paid for at time of booking.
6. Transport to and from the airport in the private car will be added to the guest invoice and is payable one day before departure.
7. All transport used in sightseeing in Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktpur will be paid for by the guest at the time.
8. All guiding fees for sightseeing will be added to the final guest invoice.
9. All food and drink consumed during sightseeing is to be paid for the guest at the time.
10. All personal, guide and porter insurance is the responsibility of the guest.
11. All tours booked through Kathmandu Valley View Homestay must be paid for at the time of booking unless advised by Kathmandu Valley View Homestay that payment must be made directly.
12. All bus tickets booked by Kathmandu Valley View Homestay must be paid for at time of booking.
13. All flight tickets including mountain flights are to be paid for at the time of booking.
14. All taxi services are extra and will be charged to the guest. The guest will be informed when this extra charge will be made. All porter services are to be paid for at the time of booking.
15. No refunds will be made on part taken sightseeing trips, village tours or the ‘Hidden Nepal’ trek.
16. No refunds will be made on part taken treks (i.e. finish Everest in 11 days instead of.
17. TIMS and trekking permit non refundable.
18. Bus and flight tickets may not be refundable. Please enquire about whether your ticket is refundable or if a charge will be levied. External company charges are outside our control.
19. Entry fees including camera and video fees are not included and must be paid at the time.
20. package booking with Kathmandu Valley View Homestay may be refundable but will encounter a 40% cancellation fee.

 

House Rules :

Please be kind enough to follow these simple rules while you are living with our family.

 Please take off all shoes in the entrance hall.

No smoking inside the home. Smoking is allowed on the terrace or outside.

Lounge to be vacated by 10 PM

Please turn of lights you are not in using to save electricity.

Please do not let the water run more than is necessary.

No drugs of any kind allowed on premises.

Please dress respectfully as it is traditional to cover the body in Nepal.

Code of Conduct for the Visitors

The home Stay visitors are expected to abide the following points :

1. Do not pressure the owner for food, beverage and facilities not available at home stay.
2. Do not disturb people at home or outside.
3. Do not demand anything beyond homestay’s capacity.
4. Beware of doing any behavior (such as sexual activities or sexual harassment) which is impermissible to the local socio-cultural values.
5. Respect the people and address them in respectful language.
6. Respect to the rites and rituals of the local people; wear such clothes that are permissible to the community.
7. Do not impress the owner or other people for doing immoral or illegal activities; respect to the household routine for the entrance and exit.
8. Supply and use of narcotics or any forms of psychotropic drugs at home or outside is strictly prohibited.
9. Do no harm to the biodiversity and ecology of the environment.
10. Carrying weapons (e.g. Gun, Explosive material) are strictly prohibited.
