Kathmandu Valley View Homestay is in Gadhi, Kathmandu 12 KM. from Kathmandu Airport, and 45 Minutes to one hour away depending on traffic. We offer you a private car service with a driver for up to three people who will wait for you for One hour after your plane lands. This service offers you great safety and security as we personally know the driver, and you will not have to haggle with touts who may end up being more expensive. (You are welcome to make your own arrangements to get to Kathmandu Valley View Homestay Village.)
Please note : Taxi fears in Nepal, as with most countries are relatively high. The price is set by the taxi and we have no control over it, no get any commission nor service charge from them. More than 3 guests will need a minivan (Up to 10 People) 2500 Rupees.

The village tour starts from Kathmandu Valley View Homestay and visit the old village of Gadhi where you can see traditional houses and people living in a traditional way. Our trip weaves through the rice fields of several villages, holi Bishnudevi Temple, Matshya Gaun stopping for tea, then historical place Kirtipur. We continue walking through villages will visit historical temples then continue walking towards Kirtipur Market to have lunch, in a local traditional restaurant, or a tourist restaurant depending on your choice. If we have time we will visit a historical place Uma Maheshwar and ………………… temple in the town of Kirtipur before walking back to homestay. What to expect.
The village tour starts from homestay and visits the old village of Gadhi where you can see traditional houses and people living in a traditional way. The tour quickly climbs out of the Kathmandu Valley and away from Gadhi Village. We arrive at a traditional Chhetri village where you can see people living life in a traditional way. The path continues to climb and you will start to get superb views of Kathmandu and the mountains (depending on weather). We will take a short stop to drink water, and the climb out of the valley more passing the memorial for Nepal’s first communist leader, and local Schools.
The road flattens out and we will then stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

What to expect :
Located behind Bhim’s village is Chandragiri, a 2150M. hill. We will begin the climb up to Chandrari, where you will see remote village and beautiful scenery, and when we reach the top, you will have amazing views of Kathmandu and if the whetheris clear you may be able to see Mount Everest. The trektakes approximately 4 hours to reach the summit, and one and a half hour decent. We will find a local restaurant on the way down to have a late lunch. After lunch we will visit a very nice monastery, and return home by local bus, where you can relax before dinner.

Exclusive 4 Night 5 day Trek
An exclusive 5 day, 4 Night trek giving you a unique insight into a way of the unchanged for countries.
Let us take you on a journey of discovery to a Nepal you never knew existed. Bhim Has spent the last 10 months researching a new trek, one which required no transportation except for ‘Feel Power’ During this trek you will meet people who have had little or no contact with outsiders, especially foreigners. You will walk through pine forests, over a suspension bridge across a lake, have tea at traditional Nepali kitchens, all the while admiring the magnificent scenery. On day 2 and 3 (Weather permitting) you can see from Dhaulagiri to Mount Everest which makes it far cheaper than traveling hundreds of kilometers to Annapurna or Everest !
What is included in the trek ?
All food, water and tea is included in the trek, as is simple accommodation which is expected to be shared by guests. This is designed to show you the real Nepali way of life, and you will not be able to get any western comforts along the way ! (No western toilets, no hot showers).
Itinerary
Day 1 – Early starts from Bhims’ house, easy walk Thankot followed by a steady climb from Thankot taking two and half hours to Chandragiri Bhanjyang where we will stop of take tea at a traditional tea house (2165 M.)
After a short break we will continue down into the valley to the picturesque village of Chitlang where Nepal’s first Goat Cheese factory was started, taking one and half hours. Here we will stop for traditional lunch of Dhal bhat (Rice, curry, Pickles). From Chitlang we continue along the road with an easy walk to Bajrabaharahi where we will stop for the evening.
Day-2, After a traditional breakfast we start an easy walk towards Palung several traditional brick making houses, rice and fields, for two and a half hours, where we still stop for a traditional dhal Bhat. From Palung we begin a steep climb through the village and jungle for a fairly grueling three hours walk towards the viewpoint of Daman where (Weather permitting) you can see the mountain range from Dhaulagiri to Mount Everest. Here we will stay in a traditional Shepa house and have a traditional dinner. This is the highest point of the trek at 2322m.
Day -3, After Breakfast in the traditional Sherpa Tea House next to the open fire we will make our way along sandy paths and beautiful pine forests towards Markhu where we will be descending for a long 5 hours trek towards the lake that powers must of Kathmandu’s electricity, crossing a fantastic suspension bridge. We will be staying right next to the lake in a family lodge and if you are a fish lover we will have fresh fish from the lake, otherwise we will eat traditional Dhal Bhat.
Day-4, We will have a late breakfast and then take a trip on a boat out onto the lake, before starting the climb to Kharbu, which is steady 5 hours walk into the Jungle before reaching our destination for the day, where we will be staying with a local family, and eating traditional food. The views of the valley are spectacular, and we can see many types of traditional farm house along the way.
Day-5, After a traditional breakfast we start our climb out of the valley up towards Kathmandu passing many villages. The climb is steep but manageable and takes approximately 3 hours. We arrive at the top (2100m.) to have lunch before we start the descent down the long steps towards Kathmandu which takes two hours back to the Homestay.

what to expect
This trek will be unlike anything you are used to in you home country. All accommodation is very simple as is the food, and the toilets and showers are very basic. You should be used to carrying a reasonable heavy backpack uphill. If you cannot you must ask us to arrange a porter for you as there is no way to transport your bag.
